First of all, thanks for visiting my webpage. My name is Thomas Wong, The Aquatic Specialist. Here is a little introduction of myself and my family's background. I have been in the aquarium business with my parents and uncles, (my father's brothers) since i was as young as 4 years old. I gained all the experience and knowledge from them. My whole Wong family, including my uncles, have been in the aquarium business for more than 20 years.
Wong Loy Kee Aquarium Store, in Chinatown at Sago Lane is our Wong family's first aquarium shop. It as been there for at least 20 years. Yasashii Trading, at Bukit Merah Lane 1, has been there for about 3 years. Tanglin Halt Aquarium, which my father owns the business, is operating at Commonwealth, Tanglin Halt Road, Tanglin Halt Market. He owns 3 stalls in the market which was upgraded in 2003. He has been there 10 years plus.
Speaking about me, back in my childhood days whenever i finish class or during weekends when i'm free, i'm always helping them in the business. Since young, it has been my interest. Over the years, i picked up more and more knowledge from them. I started to learn how to setup freshwater and planted aquariums, use different type of medication for different situations, know the functions of different types of pumps and filter systems, even surgery for arowanas which was my most interesting lesson in the learning process...
