Service of Transferring Merits to the Departed Ones
Transferring merits through prayers, or generous giving are acts of filial piety and gratitude that not only benefit the departed but also cease anger, hatred and disasters by virtue of compassion

 

The Virtue of Transferring Merits
Participation in Di-Zang-Fa-Hui is a chance to express filial piety to your parents and/or ancestors no matter how long they had passed away. In addition, your family will be blessed for such a great virtue!

Three volumes of Di-Zang (Ksitigarbha) Sutra will be chanted daily

Opening Ceremony
1st day of the 7th Lunar Month (1st August 2008) at 9:30 am

 

Closing Ceremony
24th day of the 7th Lunar Month (24th August 2008) at 8:30 am
At 6:30 pm, food offerings will be made to pretas, the hungry ghosts
 

Vegetarian lunch will be served during the Opening & Closing Ceremonies

Free vegetarian lunch will be served at noon
Chanting of 3 volumes of Di-Zang Sutra will start from 1:30 pm instead of the usual timing
