Hi! Its me and I am finally taking the time to update my webpage. Suddenly realised that its been almost 6 months since I updated it. Sheesh!

Well, by the time you read this, I would be leaving for Australia to further my studies in a few weeks time. I would be commencing my studies in the University of Queensland in July 1997. I have been enrolled in the Faculty of Commerce and am kind of looking forward to going there.

University of Queensland

Most people do wonder where is my Uni located. Well, the University of Queensland is located in Brisbane, the capital of Queensland. The flight time from Singapore is about 8 hours, which about as much as I can take. ( Any flight more than 8 hours makes me feel sick. Now you know why I am not studying in Canada.) For those who are really curious, the cost of a 2-way ticket to Brisbane from Singapore is approx S$ 1000 if you are flying by SQ. You would save about S$100 if you fly by Quantas.

The University of Queensland is about 1 hour from the Gold Coast and is rather near tourist attractions such as Movie World & Dreamworld. My campus is situated 7km from the Brisbane CBD, which is about the distance from my house here to Orchard Road, I think.

The size of the Uni is 114-hectares. It has the state's largest library, and on campus includes a cinema, 14 individual libraries, 5 banks, 1 post office, 2 child care centres, 1 kindergarten, 6 canteens, a pharmacy, hairdressor, gift shop ( this sounds famaliar? ) , second-hand book and stationary shop, newsagency, travel agency, bicycle shop, optometrist, dentist, games arcade etc. Sounds quite unbelievable huh? Next thing you'd know, I'd be telling you that the Uni also has its own airport. HAHA. Just joking... ( about the airport )
