Programmes

The Association develops innovative programmes and adds facilities when additional needs for services are identified. Presently, we have three centres that run programmes for children and youths.

    • Provides an intensive, individualised programme to teach a child the essential skills in areas as diverse as language, communication, behaviour, perception, cognition, gross and fine motor skills, self-help and in play.

    • Strong emphasis on equipping parents and carers with the necessary skills to continue teaching his/her child at home.

  • AUTISM YOUTH CENTRE

    • A pilot project developed jointly with the National Council of Social Services and funded by both the Community Chest and the Ministry of Community Development.

    • For young adults from ages 12 to 21 years.

    • Provides a daily programme that prepares teens and young adults aged 12 - 21 years for adulthood.

    • Training areas include basic self care, home management, social and relational skills, use of money and public facilities and leisure. These are individualized to the client's needs through meetings with caregivers.

  • AUTISM VOCATIONAL TRAINING CENTRE

    • Provides a continuum of vocational options in a specialized and supportive environment for people with autism aged 16 and above.

  • OTHER SERVICES

    • Star Club

    • Star Kid Programme

    • V-Kids Programme

Advice and Information are given to concerned parents through telephone enquiry, email and face-to-face consultation.

    • Parent Support Group
Provides informal support to parents, especially those with children newly diagnosed with autism. This group of parents is happy to speak with parents or any member of the public who wishes to know more about children with autism.

    • Parent Training
