my homepage. My name is GORDON AW. I am sorry that I do not have a picture of myself to
show it on the Net. Still it is no great loss. You would have
realise by now that much of my stuff on this page are pretty
religious. Well, that is because I simply am overwhelmed by who
Jesus is and what He has done for me. I once heard a pastor said that
the importance of Christianity is not so much of what we can do to
win God's favour but more so of what God has done for us in our
favour through Jesus Christ. Religion is very much the doing part,
while we need first to settle with the DONE part, and that can only
be fully understood if you know who Jesus is. Well, if you think you

Still, for those of you who are serious about reading and understanding the BIBLE. I will like to introduce to you the program DISCIPLE. I have been learning and teaching on this particular program by the United Methodist Church Publishing House. This Bible study is really interesting and has been a wonderful tool in changing the lives of many of us who took part in it. The aim of the Study is to TRANFORM LIVES instead of just INFORMING MINDS.
This Bible Study program integrates both the small group experience with individual discipline and accoutability. Each participant has to complete daily homework and then meeting for about 2 hours weekly for a time of learning to integrate the word thoroughly into our daily lives. Each lesson they deal with a HUMAN PROBLEM and then learn a new MARK OF DISCIPLESHIP where one can learn to apply the very Word of God into practise. In fact, each week there would also be a video segment where you can sit at the feet of many great scholars of our time as they expound on some of the important or even least read Scriptural passages. This is the chancel of the Prayer Room of the Upper Room Chapel in Nashville, Tennessee. It is a small little chapel within a chapel. A good place to make your request known to God. And I have found its name "ALONE WITH GOD" most inpiring. |
