   AXON Idea Processor - FAQ

What is the hardware requirement?

The Axon Idea Processor is a relatively compact and efficient program which does not require much hardware resources. The minimum hardware required is a PC with:
  • Pentium processor or equivalent.
  • 256 MB of main memory (RAM).
  • 20 MB of free harddisk space.
  • VGA or higher graphics adapter.
  • Mouse or equivalent pointing device (preferably a scroll mouse with mouse wheel).
  • Windows 2000/NT/XP/Vista (but not Windows 3.1, 95, 98, ME or CE).
There is no plan for a Mac, Unix, or Palm version of Axon. However the Intel-based MacBook is able to run Axon on winXP.

What are the main differences between the Lite and Plus versions?

The Lite Version allows saving of files with 30 or less entities and does not perform spell checking. There is no expiry time for the Lite Version.

Is there a version other than English?

Axon is in English only. The Axon User Group (Files Section) has some files translated by users to other languages.

How is the software distributed?

The Axon Idea Processor is developed and marketed by Axon Research based in Singapore. The product is usually ordered online using the secured system at our Order page. Upon confirmation of order, we will send you an email (within 24 hours) containing the License Key and Name to convert the Lite Version (which you can download) into the Plus Version. The manual (if ordering manual) will be sent by registered airmail which will take about a week to arrive.

Do you have a distributor in my country? are you looking for one?

Axon is sold directly by Axon Research in Singapore. We have no plans to appoint distributors.

Do you have student/education discount? money back policy?

We do offer quantity discount but not student discount for single copy. Education institutions can arrange for special pricing when purchasing in quantity. We do not have a money back policy.

How do I order? What is the price?

To order online using credit card or PayPal, go to Order Page. The online ordering is handled by RegSoft and is secure. RegSoft also supports credit card transaction via phone, fax, or postal mail.

To order by other means (such as PO, bank draft, wire transfer) please contact Axon Research directly. Due to the high banking charges, do not use PO, bank draft, wire transfer for amount less than US$100.

What is in the hardcopy Get Started Manual? What are the differences between the hardcopy and the downloadable Help file?

The hardcopy Get Started Manual is an abridged version of the Help file. The Manual contains over 110 pages and over 80 diagrams. One good reason for getting the Manual is that it is handy and more readable than the Help which contains lots of hyperlinks. The softcopy of the manual is the Help files itself. The manual can be ordered online from Axon Research.
