Rafael Explosive Reactive Armor package for M113 update set Description Developed in mid-1996 to provide protection against infantry RPG-7 and Sagger 3. It has a new ERA package mounted on the front and sides of the vehicle. Chief consideration has been given to easy access of engine compartment. The commander received vertical steel armor protection with thick bullet-proof windows. Similar attention has been given to the rear troop compartment. 2 of the side shields has thick bullet-proof windows and can be hinged downwards. |
