Homepages Help is abundant over the Net. You really don't need to buy a book on HTML. Homepages do look much more impressive than HTML programming. HTML programming is essentially learning how to use a new set of brackets.
Search engines and most Internet Access Service Providers are good starting points. Below is the story of how these pages came about.
Somewhere to begin could be Netscape's Creating Net Sites page which provide fairly sufficient links. You can also rely on sites dedicated to homepage creation like The Web Designer or Goodies for Web Developers which are quite comprehensive, ie. one of them would be enough.
The basic requirements are a text editor and a list of HTML tags preferably with examples. Once you are comfortable with them, you may go on to Jelane's Free Web Graphics, We Care , Pattern Land! and the like to beautify your pages with backgrounds, buttons and other graphics.
