Mothers' Fellowship & Breakthrough

突破庆祝孩子满月 "One’s addiction causes the whole family to suffer whereas  one’s salvation brings blessing and wholeness to the family."

The members of our Breakthrough Mothers’ Fellowship are God-loving people. Their passion in sharing the Gospel and their unwavering love helped to reconcile many of our brothers back to their family. And they show concern for the brothers’ family members too.

Sunny Tee, staff of Breakthrough, has been visiting the brothers’ families week after week along with sister Khaw Seow Wah and other members from the Mothers’ Fellowship. Occasionally, they visited those at the old folks home and in hospital. Jesus said “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.” (Matthew 5:16) One of the objectives of our Mothers’ Fellowship visitation is to testify to family members how our Lord Jesus Christ is able to help a hopeless and helpless addict live a truly free life if he will only entrust himself unto the Lord. To date, many family members have experienced God’s love and received eternal salvation because of the transformations in our brothers’ life. Glory to the Lord.

Prison and DRC Counselling Ministry

The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to release the oppressed, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favour.” (Luke 4:18-19)

Besides carrying out their daily chores and duties at Breakthrough, the staff also take up the responsibility of conducting personal and group counselling sessions in prisons and government drug rehabilitation centres (DRCs) during their off days. Pastor Simon Neo, Reverend Ng Khoon Seng, Counsellor Melvin Loo, Brother Freddy Wee, Sunny Tee, John Yap, Berechiah Lee, Andrew Lai, Lim Sing Sing, Joel Lee and Chua Hai Leong also participate in the counselling sessions. Thank God for giving us an opportunity to serve the brothers in the prisons and DRCs.

In this new millennium, the Lord has shown us the need to care for those in detention and participate in prison counselling. It was through fellowship with the staff of Prison Fellowship that Pastor Simon Neo came to know the needs of prison counselling. Our participation is in line with our vision and burden of the anti-drug ministry.

We ask that the Lord will raise up many more brothers who share this burden to tread deep waters with us, becoming God’s instrument to testify of His almighty salvation and bringing blessings to others.

 Overseas Mission

Vision and Commission

印尼宣教

"Where there is no vision, the people perish."

(Proverbs 29:18, KJV)

In response to the Lord's commission to share the gospel to all the earth, the Lord opened many doors and led us to various countries to share the life-changing power of the Gospel. Wherever we went, we saw the damage caused by drugs-broken families, death, the AIDS epidemic, people trafficking drugs to support their addiction, etc. Many criminal activities are related to the harm caused by drugs.

澳洲宣教(阿得雷德-澳洲基督教会 99年布道会)Drugs have wasted the lives of many modern-day youths and teenagers. The curiosity or ignorance of these young ones has led them to abuse drugs, and they soon find themselves in the deep mire of pain, hopelessness and helplessness. Many addicts have chosen to end their lives when their repeated attempts to quit the habit failed. The tears of their parents, the concern of their loved ones, the encouragement of the kind-hearted and the time spent behind bars have all been unable to stop the havoc brought about by drugs.

The basis of of Breakthrough Missions' existence is a response to the vision and commission that God has given us right from the beginning. The Gospel as the power of God that delivers those who believe in Christ Jesus from the bondage of sin and drugs. It is God's will for everyone to become completely free from bondage and enjoy true freedom as a child of God. "If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed." (John 8:36, KJV)

Breakthrough Missions has always been firmly committed to the vision and commission to help addicts rehabilitate through the Gospel. We are constantly waging a war against sin and drugs. We also see the urgent need to help other starting-up ministries which share the same vision.

May God use us as an instrument to manifest the power of the Gospel. We pray that more Christian ex-addicts will come forward to be equipped for prisons-counselling work, and more will go out as missionaries to other countries with needs, to help bring other addicts back to the path of righteousness, so that they too can lead a meaningful and purposeful life.

Glory be to God!
