4) Tuition Teacher : "What do you mean this method can't be used! I have been solving problem sums with this quantum theory my entire life!"

5) Telephone Marketing Person : "We from ABC company are doing a survey on household appliances and if you will answer a few questions, we will be more than delighted to sell you a set of handcrafted, stain resistant, nuclear-bomb-proof pots and pans at half price!"

List of favorite restaruants that we go to

1) Ponderosa : Why? I'll never know since the food is served slow, in small portions and with big price tags. Only thing edible at the salad bar is the spoons used to scoop up the blobs of mashed potatoes, though much fun can be derived from adding salt to Licai's drink when he isn't looking.

2) Burger King (at Jurong East) : Remember those happy days? Sigh. There's nothing like a cheese burger at RV students' preferred hangout. And it is only a stone's throw to Sheng Yang's place though he never invited us up.

3) Country Mana (World Trade Centre) : OK, so we have only been there once, but how often does the whole class go out together anyway? While, this is the best of the lot with good food at OK prices and served quick too.

4) BBQ at Eastcoast : Nothing like food cooked by your own hands. Juicy with blood, charred on the outside but rare on the inside. Food that was dropped on the floor, rotting in the ice box and plastered with dust from the fire - food that has stood the test of time.

5) Macdonald's at Eastcoast : After a hard day of playing, there is nothing like a cool Coke to refresh the system and a few hamburgers to chew on, especially since there is not enoght food, most of it is burnt or inedible or everyone just doesn't want to clean up after cooking.

Suggestions for the next eat out :
1) Seah Street Deli - Good cheap food with ambiance. At Raffles Arcade (next to the hotel)
2) Spageddies : Food with a bit more variety. Nice decor too.
  

1) Mingxin - Yes, its me! No army for 7 years! Enjoy your 5BX gentlement.

2) Sheng Yang - 4 army free years, but then 6 years of officer duties. First with the sweet then the bitter.

3) Weibing - Psc C, stay out, have not completed BMT but getting a 3rd Sergent rank. Well done.

4) Hanliang - Signal driver and staying out. Get to race rovers and bikes. The trills without the hassles.

5) Weiming - OCT 3 white bars at the moment, and not enjoying himself at all. Here is a quote: "I am now posted to a new unit 128 Squadron, which is definitely not a lobo unit at all. The bunk is sort of BMT style, lockers and beds and all. A lot of things have to be standardised including toothpaste length and size (1/4 squeezed or whatsoever)- so you can imagine the siong-ness! I am also the i/c again (always got to be the first i/c of all the courses)." Well there you have it! The latest and hot off the press.

6) Xijie- OCT (3 white) Still a long way to go, but a macho and a hercules built into one - no problem.

7) Licai - OCT (3 white) Enjoying infantry attachment, every minute of it. Chest out, stomach in and wipe that stupid grin off your face soldier!

8) Sheng'en - ASLC, at least you get the satisfaction of knocking down people.

9) Jeffery - 3rd Sergeant and training to be a recce. Hope you take well to Prisoner of War training.
