That Red thingy is the homemade ESC. Capable of 26A but have no brake or reverse.....just plain forward...as the "god of car" mentioned.... no brakes mean faster and thus it does not limit you.. : P
This conversion started when the stock system screwed up.... The original circuit is small and nice but when using it to race, lots of problem arise....... well. i only own the car for 6 months and 2 days and run the car for less than 30 battery cycles b4 i decide the throw the stock ESC board away.......

With the upgrade, the servo steering is much much much and i mean much
much faster....

My Beetle with the almost complete conversion. Equipted with wide rims
and tires + a conversion to the long wheel base.
I call this the super "Beng" Beetle.... Just wonder will it make it
in time on Sunday's (7/702) Race held at SpeedRacer.
