Till today,my princess have served me well for 8 months....it was on 8/9/99(Singapore's birthday) when i decide to invert my ergo for the second time....i held inverted for at least 30 secs and i did a roll later....however,it was 50m high up so i decend it....but it went down and never came up....and whats worse?? before she hit the ground, she flipped to the side...ouch..
this was the "package" i received a few minutes later ....
er princess....i have to take out your canopy, this might hurt a little
shit i even bent the lower main frames....look at the main blades...it
was cut into half and all my landing skids(with wheels) were destroyed....
heres another view....look at the main mast and flybar........... it
will tell u how bad the crash was.even the windshield(left) was broken
heres the main part of my ergo..look at the lower frames,it was bent
and thus breaking the fuel tank as well, the quiet Hatori muffler was also
flattened...as the landing was on the right side of the heli, the throttle
linkage flew out and thus leaving my engine at full power which in turn
over-rev the engine melting the conrod and sending the metal chips up the
piston/clyinder ,as i say the muffler was flattened,it broke my crankcase
as well....the engine was 80% destroyed..IF i were to salvage from the
engine,this is what i left....crankshaft,2 bearing,whole carb,heat sink
head and engine back plate....therefore the carb is for sale as a sparepart....Now
the engineer at work LOL
all the parts scattered around to seperate the good and bad remaindings....
Believe or not this is the best i can do to salvage from my wrecked
ergo....only about 20% from the whole heli without the electronics
the servos and receiver were fine....upon checking my gyro,i found there
was a crack!!!!!!!!!! damn....now i had a autopsy report on the frequent
crash part
The boom was a straight cut...it was cut into half leaving the belt
to suspend....
The flybar was bent to a J......cool huh....more like trouble
The mainmast was bent to a ( when i took it
to let walter see it....guess what he say?? your blade flew out during
flight?? he asked NO was
the answer....
Now the spindle...suprisingly it was just a little bent but as usual
this S$2 piece have to be replaced
The tail output was also badly bent about 10 degrees off.....
