| My existence begin on 18 March 1966. I am the third from the left next to my father and my sister. This old photograph found in a long forgotten photo album dates back to the days when I was only 1 year old. There wasn't any colour photographs yet. This is so much memory of myself then. All of us were so young then. Times flies and it waits for no man. It surely makes me feel nostalgic. |  |
 | This was taken in 1974 when I was eight years old. Didn't I look cute? I enjoyed going to school and play with my friends. Though homework was never quite what I like but the thought of playing with my friends after those homework made me felt better. Childhood was the best time of my life. My parents were most concerned over me, my studies and welfare. I had everything that they could give me. Sometimes, I do get naughty and it must have been difficult for them. | Like all Singaporean males at 18 years old, I was enlisted to be an National Serviceman (NS man). I joined the Navy immediately after getting my diploma at the polytechnic and thoroughly enjoyed the sun, sand and the sea. It was a change after studying for so many years and being well looked after at home. I have to say it was 'cool' to be a Navy NS man. Of course there were the not-too-enjoyable stuff like training, attending lectures, etc. |  |
| I signed a technical contract as a telecommunications technical specialist from the Navy for six years. I learnt the trades and warfare of the sea well. Life was so good then, I had a stable job and I was at the same time improving myself academically. |

| I started working in Nortel Singapore dealing with telecommunication equipment after finishing the bond with the Navy. I am now a Specialist in the Market Support (Asia South Pacific) Division. |  |
 | While I worked, I also studied for a bachelor degree. I graduated from Curtin University in 1997. |
| This is how my parents and sister look like now. The little boy my sister is carrying is my beloved nephew. I am looking forward to improve myself better in my social life and also at work. I have learnt to play tennis. I am widening my social circle by meeting more people in my leisure time. |  |
