Hi there! Thanks for viewing my web-page.
This is my web-page showcasing things about myself.
One of my current craze is - ROBOTics.
Though this craze started of since my childhood days,
I have lost touch with it when I started working.
But ever since I completed my post-graduate degree on Robotics,
my passion was re-ignited.
Robot building can be an expensive hobby.
Much of the development is experimental. It could be time-wasting
& costly if the project fails. Luckily I found the
LEGO Robotics Invention System. It helps me to sharpen my inventive skills
& materialise my countless projects. Sometimes I used it to build prototype
for my engineering work.
The following projects are my spare-time creation. I will try to introduce
a new project bi-weekly. If you have any suggestions or challenges
for me you can e-mail at
cc2000@singnet.com.sg"".
Meanwhile do enjoy viewing my completed projects!
"Gulper" is a tennis ball retriever conceptualized for my degree project.
The idea was chosen as it involved minimal capital and has a fun theme in it.
Besides my other interest - Tennis, also influence my selection.
I dread picking balls after games so ... ta-da!
Need something to put you to sleep? Why not try the music box.
The mono-phonic tune can be programmed to suit your kind of lullaby.
Of course you would need to know
how to convert your musical notes to the LEGO RCX codes.
It is fascinating about robots that scale buildings. The amount mechanism
required to hold its body-weight while it makes climbing movement.
These robots are used these days to clean windows from the outside of buildings.
Here we have a case of a robot doing a dangerous job on be-half of man.
This is a recent project to demonstrate part of my understanding in industrial
automation. It is a feeder that moves a lead-frame a constant pitch.
A lead-frame is part of semiconductor encapsulated package that provides the chip connection
to the outside world.
This is an improvement of the 1st version indexer. Its is smaller than the 1st version.
It also uses less parts & sensors.
