LEAD-FRAME INDEXER 2
- This is an improved version of the lead-frame indexer. Version 1 requires
2 limit sensors for each motion axis. As the kit has only 2 touch & 1 light sensor,
the light sensor is deviced as a 2 side limit sensor. But it is difficult to
configure the light sensor to differentiate the limits since the sensor response
slightly to color change.
- Version 2 uses 1 touch sensor for 1 axis. Each mechanism has a rubber-band that
acts like a return spring. When the slide hits the touch sensor, it will switch to float
allowing free movement. Due to the tension on the band, the slide is pull back
to its original position.
- This version's size is smaller, number of parts used are lesser.
- Gear-up of the "Up-Down" motion.
- Rack & pinion assembly with blue band as return spring of the "Up-Down" motion.
- Gear-up of the "Left-Right" motion.
- Rack & pinion assembly(hidden) with blue band as return spring of the "Left-Right" motion.
