Stated below are a few survive tips I got in a book called
“The Worst-Case Scenario Survival Handbook”. They might not
seem useful now, but I have a feeling they might come in handy someday.
1. How to survive a riot
*Travel in a group – snipers or enemies will have more objects to focus
on.
*Do not run unless your life is in imminent danger – the human eye can
quickly sight someone running. Running can also generate excitement and
people might start chasing.
*If you are driving, avoid main roads and keep on side streets. Do not stop
for anything – the car can be a useful weapon that even a mob cannot stop.
If you cannot drive forward, reverse. If your car is hit by a molotov cocktail,
speed up and it may burn out as you gain speed.
*If you encounter roadblocks, bargain for your safety. Offer cash first, then
equipment like cameras and jewellery second.
2. How to offer a bribe
*Never offer a bribe blatantly. You might get into more trouble. If you are
accused of an infraction, ask to pay a fine on the spot. Or offer to make a
“donation” to the official’s organization: say you would like to pay for uniforms
or expenses.
*Speaks to, and deal with, only one official as much as possible. Talk to the one
who acts like he is in charge. If you offer a bribe to a junior officer while a senior
is present, the latter is likely to ask for more money.
3. How to foil a UFO
abduction
*Do not panic. The extraterrestrial biological entity (EBE) might react rashly to
your fear. Control your thoughts, the EBE might be able to read minds. Resist
mentally so that telepathic EBEs will get the message. Or just tell the EBE to leave
you alone.
*Last resort – resist physically by going for the eyes since you do not know what its
other more sensitive areas are.
