Yesterday
I had Penang laksa and sis had beef noodles @ Scotts Pinic
Foodcourt.
The Laksa was good!
But still not as good as the one I had in KL.
My one week craving is more than satisfied.
Both of us nearly finished the soup till we see the base of the
bowl till we reminded ourselves that we should stop.
At $3.50 per serving, it is 100 times better than the one I had at
Orchard Emerald Foodcourt 2 weeks ago. That was bland and I was
totally unsatisfied, as if I had not had my dinner after finishing
the bowl. |

Last
week, we had the $9.90 KFC Buddy Meal (4 pieces chicken,4 nuggets,
coleslaw & whipped potato) at 5.30pm then we went to Starbucks
(Far East), had caramel frap with one pack of large fries each.
This week, we had our dinner early again, at aboutt 5pm when the
foodcourt was relatively less crowded.
Then we went to shop around, walked to Toys R Us then came back
down to Shaw House for a Mac Meal with side orders of Buy One Get
One Free Large Fries.
So sad, the trip to Toys R Us was disappointing! Wanted to see
how's the monkey Board game was like but couldn't find! |

Don't
worry, I didn't consume all these in one day!
Just that I've been having quite a lot of these unhealthy stuff
out of quick convenience and constant hunger at odd hours of the
day.
But i just finished the last cup for breakfast this morning so am
going to stop stocking up for a while.

Results are out at 12
midnight.
Fruits of my labour are : 'A' TEACHING ENTERPRISE PROGRAMME for and
another 'A' for INDUSTRIAL PLACEMENT PROGRAMME. I think I so deserve the
grades.
Wanted to help sis tape Friends.
But couldn't cos he VCR is spoilt.
I damaged 3 tapes in the process.

Grandfather's birthday today.
Decided to buy him a cake.
Woke up late, Mom and Simin already left to shop at Bugis.
Then I left home at about 4pm to go to Breadtalk at Citylink.
After buying the cake, I was contemplating whether to take the train or
the bus.
Take train, very convenient but gotta walk a distance before reaching
Grandma's house.
Take bus walk lesser.
SO decided to take bus instead.
And was I so WRONG in making that decision!!!
1st, when I got out of
the underpass, i saw the bus coming so I ran abit in order to catch it.
Immediately when I got on, I realised my big mistake!
Took one of those free bus guide, took a look at the bus route and wanted
to get down immediately. It's going to be a grand detour, going all the
way to passing through Chinatown, Central CBD, Harbourfront (almost to
Sentosa), CMPB before making a turn out from Henderson!!!!
The whole journey was so unpleasant, the aircon was so not powerful on
such a sunny day, with a cool cake on my lap, the bus is full of malays,
the bus was slow and jerky, this uncle sitting beside me was taking
something from his bag and his elbow was always near to knocking into my
cheeks.
I was so pissed with myself and I was alone so I can't blame anyone for
the situation i was caught in.
The bus I took was SBS Transit Service 145.

Today's Duan Wu Jie aka Dragon Boat Festival.
Ate one dumpling for lunch as a form of celebration.
Bought 29 Dumplings over the past week.
Spent $43 on them all and mom has not returned me the $$$.
I am jobless, must get it back from her, at least half the amount.
$43, it's like having a decent meal at a good restaurant!
if I have a stable income, that amount would mean nothing to me but right
now I am jobless.

Last nite I was playing online scrabble and felt a craving to eat
something.
Couldn't find anything i like in the nite, went searching and all i found
was more n more varieties of biscuits n cookies.
Remembered that there was nougats but couldn't find any.
In the end i drank Lipton's Lime&Ginseng infusion tea
Woke up at 12noon, slept again at 1pm.Didnt eat lunch.
Told mom to help me heat up a dumpling but I went to rest instead.
I closed the door and was oblivious to the noise created beyond my room's
door.
Mom's sis came over this afternoon when i was taking an afternoon nap.
She brought along 10 more dumplings and some are vegetarian ones.
It's past midnight now and mom is asking me whether I wanna try that.
I said OK but only if we share.
I can actually eat up one myself....but what if it's not nice? So better
to share and it's so late.......
I just went to check the steampot. Mom actually steamed 2 dumplings.
I think her idea of sharing is sharing 2 different kinds of dumplings to
try the different tastes.
1 fish jumped out of the tank and died on the floor, I call that suicide.
But anyway I think it deserve to die anyway.
Can't stand it for quite some time already.
It's greedy and it likes to trail other fishes in the tank (for fun), till
they had to swim away quickly to avoid it.
I was lying down n staring at the fish tank just last night and was
thinking to myself just how dreadful it is.
Never to think that it committed suicide this morning.
I am thinking maybe the other fishes ganged up to throw it out!
Must be, should be!
3 more fishes went to heaven in the late evening. I saw it with my own
eyes.
Felt quite sad n disgusted. Told mom to quickly scoop them out n throw
them away.

12.34am : Just tried the vegetarian dumpling. Tried half of it. Mom had
the other half and another 3/4 of a nonya one to "TRY".
My Verdict : Still prefer the tradition Bak Chang with abit of fatty meat,
mushroom, chestnut n egg yolk.
The vegetarian one, I get no satisfaction upon finishing it, not that the
portion is too small, it's just that I don't quite like it.

Plans for today:
Go town to shop (to avoid weekend crowd) OR take bus to Toa Payoh then
take free shuttle bus to Turf City.
Come home in time for dinner n watch TV from 9-11pm
The usual 9pm drama and channel switching from 9-10pm then sitting very
close to the TV set for the Amazing Race from 10-11pm.
Plans for tomorrow :
Meet sis @ Orchard after her work.
Have BK for dinner, the new Cheesy Pepper Deluxe chicken Burger Set (preferably
@ Liat Towers, maybe trying the Hot Dutch Apple Pie as well)
