The week of Fiesta officially begins on the 6th July each year. As the clock on the town hall striked twelve midday, the town mayor launched a tiny rocket from the town hall balcony. At this instant, the sea of people in uniform red and white who had quietly streamed into the village and choked it overnight, suddenly burst into barbaric howls. Corks flew and champagne rained. That's only the very beginning of a week of alcohol madness and senseless inebration.
