Food Paradise

Food is easier  to find here with a lot of varieties. If you want your rice shaped like tennis balls, this would have to be the place to find it. This is said to be how the original Hainanese Chicken Rice was traditionally served in Hainan, China. The idea is to keep in the flavour of the rice, which has been cooked in a rich chicken stock. A standard serving consists of two rice balls, chicken that is tender to the bite and an accompanying bowl of soup. The homemade chilli sauce is different from most others. It is highly flavoured with lots of garlic and chicken.

You would have to join the long queue during the peak dinner hour around 7.00 pm, so avoid visiting the stall at that time if you want to enjoy the fabulous salad without aching legs. The secret lies in the fresh ingredients used.Yu tiao, cucumber, tau pok and other ingredients are evenly coated with the nice, thick sauce and topped with peanuts.
