To Be With You - A Haruka & Michiru fic ---------------------------------------- A fic by Cass to her absolutely, positively wonderful pal, GSL, who is suffering from LOHMF (Lack Of Haruka & Michiru Fics). ALERT! If reading about two females having a romantic relationship freaks you out, read no further. Disclaimer: I hereby disclaim all ownership of Sailor Moon the series. I'm just tweaking the anime storyline to fit my own non-profit purposes. Don't worry, Ms. Naoko Takeuchi, you'll get the characters back all in one piece. This I swear on all my tapes of Sailor Moon R and S. Note: I'm basing this on the anime version of Sailor Moon. C&C are most welcome. Send them to chiaty@singnet.com.sg Http://web.singnet.com.sg/~chiaty Flames will be used to warm up my freezing toes. --------------------------------------------------------------------- (During the Silver Millennium) Sailor Uranus panted as she uttered, "World Shaking!" possibly for the last time. There were too many of them to fend off, even with the help of the other Outer Senshi. The battle would soon be over. But in the meantime, she would take as many of Beryl’s soldiers down with her. She glanced over at where her love was fighting, noticing, not for the first time, the grace she exuded even now. Their weary eyes met and Uranus held onto that eye contact for as long as she dared. Neptune smiled and gave a thumbs up signal before delving back into the battle. Feeling rejuvenated, Uranus unsheathed her sword. Her cold smile was all they saw as she slashed her way through the enemy soldiers. Lost in the throes of battle, she moved further away from her teammates, concentrating only on defending her galaxy. That was her duty, her sacred task. But after this battle, maybe she could finally find the courage to voice out her innermost desires. She had always been entranced by the Neptunian princess, first by her beauty, then by the graceful manner she carried herself. When they finally had a chance to converse, Uranus was delighted to discover intelligence beneath the outer layer of beauty. And she fell even harder. It was just too bad that their initial conversation was one of the longest they had shared. But despite the fact that she hardly saw the aquamarine haired beauty outside of Sailor Senshi duty, it seemed that each day, she grew more enamoured. reflected Uranus. Uranus chided herself. As long as she didn't mention anything, there was always the hope that Neptune was in love with her. But if she did confess her love, what if Princess Neptune said that she wasn't interested in females? What then? --------------------------------------------------------------------- Taught well by her court early on, she was a master at hiding her emotions, concealing the fact that she hated life as a princess of the planet Neptune with all its stifling rules and obligations. Every time she saw the tall blond princess of Uranus, it was all she could do to keep from blushing or staring. Or to say, "I think I'm in love with you, Uranus." Eight simple words that she could never utter. As a princess, she was supposed to marry some guy with a high social standing, like a duke or a prince from another planet, and bear several adorable children, some who might inherit her aquamarine hair that made it really hard to find matching clothes and accessories. Not to marry another princess, especially one from Uranus. That was her lot in life. But it seemed she was cheated out of those precious few years, as Neptune dropped to her knees, her left hand clutching her side, trying to stop the severe bleeding. Grimacing in pain, she gazed at the back of her love, glad that Uranus hadn't spotted her injury, relieved that her mask was still in place. Taking advantage of her weakened state, several soldiers savagely thrust their swords deep into her body again and again, unwilling to risk her survival. Eyes firmly upon the fighting figure of Uranus, Neptune bit her lips, refusing to scream out in pain. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Uranus smirked as she easily dispatched the four soldiers who had ganged up on her. She turned back to see if Neptune had noticed the swift and efficient way she had dispatched the enemy soldiers. And froze in horror. Heart pounding rapidly, her eyes firmly fixed on Neptune's prone figure, Uranus desperately tried to cut a path to her. Slashing viciously at the enemies who dared to block her path, the enemies who were under the same leadership as those who were currently impaling swords into Sailor Neptune, she didn't bother to block several blows. She stumbled over a rock but quickly regained her balance, ignoring the trails of blood she was leaving behind. There were no more soldiers surrounding Sailor Neptune, now. They had all preferred to aid their fellow soldiers in the thick of battle. Surprisingly, there were none engaging her in battle, none to block her way. Uranus slowly narrowed the gap between Sailor Neptune and herself, already too tired to wield her sword. Stumbling over her own two legs, Uranus cursed weakly, devoting all her energy to get up. It took several precious moments but she managed to succeed. Swaying precariously, Uranus fell once more. And this time she couldn't muster the strength to lift herself up. She didn't even have the will to prevent her eyes from closing. Nearby, Sailor Neptune was grateful, for she couldn't feel the pain any longer. --------------------------------------------------------------------- 199X, Japan. Tenoh Haruka was almost disappointed that the race had ended. There was nothing quite like the feel of the wind rushing by. Sometimes, when she was running or when she was driving with the top down, she could almost hear the secrets that the wind whispered. Secrets of a time long past. "Tenoh-san!" She turned around and crossed her arms in a look of impatience. Elza continued, "I would like to introduce you to a school mate of mine, Kaioh Michiru." --------------------------------------------------------------------- THE END Further notes: 1. Elza is the redhead that competes with Haruka in the school races. 2. I've only watched SM, SM R, SM S. So if I got the way that they died in Silver Millennium wrong, I apologize.
