Description

It is a longfish with a
large mouth complete with sharp teeth.They
nomally have grey or dark green backs and
silvery sides.They also have vertical stripes on
their sides.The tail fin are sometimes tinged
with yellow.

length and the common weight are from 4-8kgs.

Barracudas
are schooling fish when they are young but become
solitary when they are older.

can be caught by trolling lures or bait
fishes. Their diet consists of prawns, bait fishes
and they even prey on the smaller species of
their own kind. Wire traces will definately come
in handy as their teeth can chew through heavy
mono.
