Outlook 2000 uses a proprietary protocol to send messages and attachments that is not compatible with Eudora. If you receive a message with an attachment from someone using Outlook and the attachment has been renamed winmail.dat, or is otherwise unusable, ask the sender to set their Outlook to send messages in Plain Text Mode. Below are instructions on how to set Outlook to Plain Text mode. Doing so will disable some Outlook features like "Voting Buttons" but could be easily changed back if the sender is certain he is sending to another Outlook user.
