SONG WRITING

Had been engrossed in this interest ever since I won Best Lyric Awards in an Inter-College Competition in 1987. I mainly wrote Mandarin lyrics and had a record of 30 songs in a month continuously. Formed a musicwork called KUCINTA MUSICWORKS in Crawford Community Centre in 1992. Participated a few major competitions locally and won some awards too. People like to call these songs as "XINYAO".

COMPUTERS

This is my "bowl of rice". I got in touch with computer from the influence of my elder brother, who is quite a successful IT specialist, especially in Data Communication. In my secondary school, I liked Mathematics a lot and represented school twice for inter-school competition. With the mathematical and curious mind, I started learning computer in my secondary school using LOGO. Then I joined Computer Appreciation Club, got to know other computer languages, and surprisingly won an inter-school computer programming competition prize organized by Singapore Science Centre. Then I stopped for quite some time during my junior college days. My real IT life began when I decided to take up an IT course in the polytechnic. I had much experience developing multimedia application, however, I decided to go into Networking instead. Perhaps I love to learn and pursue the rapid ever-changing technology, especially Networking. Another area that I was inspired by my University Lecturer to know more is Computer Security.
