Lance Eminger   

Mr. Lance Eminger is Data Associates' Market Development Manager. He is also the Manager of the Manila office and a Senior Technical Consultant.

He has delivered consulting in clinical data management and software validation for customers in Australia and Singapore. Mr Eminger is also one of our experts of Clinical Data Management Systems software. In fact this year he provided technical software consulting for the ClinTrial 4 Clinical Data Management package produced by Domain Pharma for Domain Solutions in Chatswood, NSW Australia. This involved support for projects with local CROs and hospitals.

Last year, Mr. Eminger worked with Domain Pharma Singapore as a Technical Consultant. His major achievement while there was to spearhead Domain Pharma Singapore's efforts to open new markets in Asia Pacific, and subsequently opened a large prospect base in the Philippines, Hong Kong and Taiwan. As a result, he was later made responsible for market development in Singapore, Philippines and Hong Kong. This involved numerous customer site visits in various Asia Pacific countries, including the management of trade show stalls in the Clinical Trials DIA in Taiwan and the Clinical Trials Seminar at the Hong Kong Convention Center.

Mr. Eminger was the project manager and consultant for the Domain Pharma team that delivered onsite clinical data management consulting, software installation, validation, customized training and study creation to a customer in Japan. This enabled their Data Management team to go online with 15 production clinical trials and deliver their projects 3 months ahead of schedule. That project subsequently won the Data Management team an award for the highest level of professionalism in pharmaceutical Data Management from that customer's head office.

Mr. Eminger also assisted in the SQA Validation testing for ClinTrial 4.1 Japanese version in Shenyang, China, in collaboration with NueAlpine.

Apart from his role as market developer, Mr Eminger also provides a programming consulting service for Data Associates customers in Asia Pacific. This usually involves programming 'rules' or 'data checks' for customized systems in PL/SQL for Oracle databases. Other programming languages known include MS-Access, Visual Basic, C, Borland C++, Power Builder, CEL (Cornerstone Extension Language) and others. He also builds clinical data management databases in Oracle and customized cleaning PL/SQL routines for various customers worldwide.

Mr. Eminger holds a Bachelor of Computing Science from Wollongong University, Australia, and he is currently studying for his Graduate Certificate in Clinical Data Management with the School of Health Information Management, University of Sydney.

Graduated as Bachelor of Science in Industrial Pharmacy from University of the Philippines Manila in 1996. Completed apprenticeships at Smith-Kline Beecham Research, Ltd (Production and QA Department), Magsinal Community Pharmacy and Philippine General Hospital.

• Release machine runs and other processing/packaging operations accurately and thoroughly according to In-Process Control and Good Manufacturing Practice procedures.
• Conduct accurate routine tests during processing/packaging of pharmaceutical products according to Physical and Pharmaceutical Testing Methods and standard guidelines.
• Check and approve the cleanliness of the machine and other surrounding areas according to GMP before the actual production run.
• Attache appropriate stickers to indicate status of the product during and after processing or packaging.
• Perform accurate sampling for QA, stability, retention, BFAD, and Basle sending.
• Perform and records promptly and accurately test results in control sheets.
• Report immediately to supervisor and deviations from specifications.
• Act as OIC during shift operations and in the absence of the Coordinator-Processing in monitoring processing staff in carrying out all processing operations according to validated Processing procedures.
• Involved in the development of new dosage forms by doing formulation studies on trial batches of new drugs.
• Maintain the IPCS database and submits IPCS reports on time.
• Prepare incidence reports, quarterly and year end production reports.
• Follow the Quality Control Procedural rules for sampling and testing. Uses relevant testing procedures.
• Ensure reliability, reproducibility and accuracy of the test results.
• Perform dosage form and stability testing according to the established guidelines.
• Prepare and submits reports regarding dosage, stability and validation procedures and results.
• Utilize reagents, solvents, reference standards, laboratory glass wares and supplies, and time effectively with minimal waste.
• Monitor machines and laboratory equipment with respect to proper maintenance.
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the laboratory.

Reshielle Perla S. Padilla

Graduated as Bachelor of .Science in Industrial Pharmacy from University of the Philippines in 1997. In Mar 1997 she completed a thesis "Stability Studies on Commercially Available Amoxicillin Powders for Reconstruction using High Pressure Liquid Chromatography (HPLC)".

• Conducts accurate routine tests during processing/packaging of pharmaceutical products according to PPTM and guidelines set.
• Checks and approves cleanliness of the machines and other surrounding areas according to GMP before the actual production run.
• Calibrates the instruments used in in-process checks.
• Maintains IPCS database and prepares incident reports.
• Performs thorough inspection of finished goods prior to delivery.
• Performs accurate sampling for QA stability, retention, Basle sending.
• Attaches appropriate stickers to indicate status of a product during and after processing/packaging.
• Follow the Quality Control Procedural Rules for sampling and testing. Uses the relevant testing procedures.
