FOOD for THOUGHT.

I've been around a couple of decades...and over the years i have made several observations on life which seem to me to be quite unique ....

1.  We work very very hard for our living hoping that some day we never ever have to work very hard again.

2.   Consider this: The existence of human civilisation can be soley proven by the discovery of Flat objects.  Nature does not produce flat things - there is no need for flatness.  Anything perfectly flat.. the floor, chair, Axe head...this computer screen.. is the work of Man alone.

3.   Can we produce bottled oxygen for sale by the simple method of electroysis of water?  (H2O).  Imagine carrying a contraption like a mineral water bottle with batteries and mask, to polluted streets and yet still being able to enjoy good air.

4.   Why is coffee or tea served with satchets of sugar when it is so clear that probably 99.99% of consumers will want to put sugar in their coffee or tea?  Why isn't the sugar pre-mixed, like how salt is premixed in your beef steaks, spaggethis and normal meals.

5.   Why do airlines still insist on life-jacket (basic water buoys) usage drills and waste money on same, when it is obvious that if the aircraft dives into the ocean even at low speed, it is bound to sink deep down trapping everybody in it anyway (remember SilkAir case some years back)

6.   Why do British designed power plugs contain
13 Amp fuse? It doesn't work!  I have touched live voltage (240 v) and experienced also direct short circuit of plugs due to faulty wiring.  I know of a case of fire flash at the plug connecting to an ordinary electric iron which short circuited. Always, the household circuit breaker trips immediately.  If this didnt happen, by the time the fuse melts, i would have been killed anyway! In Japan/Europe, they use small appliance plugs - no fuse. Changing to simpler plugs may reduce the price of electrical appliances!!

7.   Has any one thought of a cheap and smart way to transmit the household Power and Water consumption data from the meters, directly to a central office (just like telephone usage metering)? Sending meter-readers to millions of households and offices seems to be incongruous with the technogies available in this internet age!

8.  Scientists say that there is no extra terrestrial life in other planets because there is no water or oxygen.  I cannot understand this. Life on earth needs water and oxygen, but there is no reason to think that this is a universal truth.   Truth is relative.  We only think we know Truth because we measure against our own realm and domain.

9.  How can i prove that my dog is the stupidest dog in the world? It sounds like a silly question.  I can't figure an objective way to measure stupidity, although it is very simple to measure intelligence.
