Brooke House College (Tutorial, Boarding and Mixed)

Brooke House College is a small tutorial boarding school for boys and girls, founded in 1960, and located in the town of Market Harborough, an hour and ten minutes by train north of London and 15 minutes from Leicester city. The College has about 200 students many of whom are studying for their A-levels.
Students live in the College's boarding houses located inside the campus and near the College. Recreational activities are held in the town sports centre near the College.
Brooke House College has a progressive attitude towards pre-university education, which combines hard work with a relaxed and informal atmosphere. Its aims are high academic standards and the pastoral care and development of young people that will prepare them for the freedom and responsibility of university and adult life. Teaching is done in small groups of 6 students on average. A distinguishing characteristic of Brooke House College is that it is very flexible and special individual needs can be catered to. Brooke House College is thus ideally suited for students who need close personal attention from their teachers.
The emphasis on teaching in small groups provides personal attention and allows close supervision of progress. According to the subjects being studied, all students complete at least six hours of work each day, either in class or in supervised prep periods, and this is followed by a three-hour examination each Saturday morning.
A-level courses start in January and September.
