Dr James Loh runs his own education consultancy firm, advising parents and students on A-level and university studies in the UK. He has been doing this for the past 19 years.
In his work, Dr Loh has developed contacts with principals and university admission tutors and has acquired a considerable amount of expertise and experience in knowing what admission tutors are looking for in potential students. He has a special interest in medical, dental and veterinary science studies and has helped many Singapore, Malaysian and Indonesian students gained admission to leading medical and veterinary science schools in the UK, Australia and elsewhere as well as to top universities such as Cambridge, Oxford, University College London, Imperial College, LSE, Warwick, Nottingham, Durham, Edinburgh, etc.
Dr Loh has worked in the elite Singapore Administrative Service and the private and educational sectors and was an Associate Professor (Adjunct) in NTU for 10 years, until his retirement in 2000.He was also a member of the Advisory Committee of the Temasek Business School from 1990-2004. For his services to Australian education in Singapore, Malaysia and Hong Kong, he was awarded an Honorary Doctorate of Letters by the Curtin University of Technology, Perth in 2008.
