IT, the knock-out punch

The first wave of dot.com has not been too successful. However, by and large, everyone would agree that Information Technology is here to stay. So it is important for us to see IT for what it is, just a technology. Of course there will be some who will profit from a purely IT business. But it is best that the rest of us look upon it as a technology to enhance our business.

IT is purely to provide information rapidly and extensively. Once we understand this we can then make use of it more effectively. A simple illustration is that if you have a business you can now let others know about it easily at a very low cost. In the past we normally advertise it in the newspaper, which is costly. You can now advertise it using the Internet, at virtually no cost. So much so the cyberspace is now clogged with information.

The mission of this site is to establish a platform for businesses to advertise effective, at no cost.

So far search engines depend totally on the power of the software. I believe that no matter how powerful the software can be it does not possess the recognition power of the human mind. Try any search portal and you will most likely see the same addresses being repeated over and over again.

I envisaged two groups of people will be able to share my interest. The first group will be people who have valuable skills and good products, and need to make their values known. If I can set up a quality site you will be the first to benefit. You have first to establish a cybershop for your business. If you do not know how there are five easy lessons here to help you. The most important rule is; provide much needed and up to date information. If you could do so I will welcome you to list your cybershop with this portal. It will cost you nothing. What I want is purely to provide quality information.

The second group will be those with professional expertise who can help to filter for valuable information. There is too much information in cyberspace and it is costing the public valuable time, trying to obtain useful information fast. This portal will aim to provide high quality information. We want to make searching for information less stressful.

If you belong to either of these two groups please contact me and I am sure we can work together.
