During Yuan Dynasty (AD1271-AD1368), China is under rule of great Mongol. Money in paper form is dominant in this period. Only small amount of copper coins are minted and hence are rare. The mintage of copper coins is slightly increased during Ming Dynasty (AD1368-AD1644). However, the quantity and variations are much lesser when compared with that of Song Dynasty.
