2009 OCTOBER PRAYER WATCH

1. CONCERN FOR EHC’S 96 BRANCHES: The 96 EHC offices are raising funds together with the HQ to boost this year’s Christmas evangelism to the unreached. Pray for God to bestow innovative ideas that will spur donations in this gloomy economic climate.
   
2. PRAY FOR PASTORS AND BELIEVERS WORLDWIDE: Homosexuality is gaining worldwide attention and some countries have even legalized it. Pray for the Lord to edify believers against this era’s degenerating trends in society.
   
3. IMPROVING BOOK SUPPLIES TO CHINA: China's need for Christian books of good quality is increasing with the growing number of saved souls. Pray for the Lord to inspire readers to share what they gained through the books with others.
   

MON: FOR SERVING PASTORS & LEADERS OF ASIAN CHURCHES

1. 2010 CALENDAR FOR EAST ASIA: Calendars with scripture verses serve a dual purpose of reminding believers to count their daily blessing for wisdom, and to meditate on God’s word each day. May the Lord’s light shine upon all users of the calendar.
   
2. THE ARK ORPHANAGE IN SICHUAN: They need proper facilities to keep them warm in the harsh winter or they will need to move to Chengdu to survive the season. Most of the kids are orphaned Tibetans from the earthquake. Pray for God to supply their renovating needs.
   
3. 100,000 REPRINT FOR "31 DAY PRAYER GUIDE FOR CHINA": The flames of prayer are spreading in China and 100,000 cps have been reprinted to supply the need. Pray for God to use these prayers for the Gospel to reach new harvest fields.
   

TUES: FOR YOUTH AND WOMEN MINISTRY IN ASIAN CHURCHES

1. 50,000 CPS PRINTED FOR "CHANGE THE WORLD SCHOOL OF PRAYER" (CHINESE EDITION): These are the author's compiled notes and are invaluable for teaching readers the secrets of intercession. May our lives be transformed just as those we pray for.
   
2. DR LIANG FEI-SHENG'S RALLY ON 30-31 OCTOBER: SEHC and the United Chinese Fellowship co-organized this event with other ministries. The themes are "Serving God Beyond the Workplace" and "Knowing God Beyond Logic". May the Holy Spirit revived the attending congregation.
   
3. 100,000 REPRINT OF "GOSPEL EXPRESS": God's love continues to bring saved souls to the churches of East Asia and also raise up ambassadors of the Gospel. May these materials be well used to lead many more towards Christ’s love and salvation.
   

WED: FOR POVERTY REGION AND SOCIAL CARE IN ASIA

1. CCIS ON 18-25 DECEMBER: Thank God for the opportunity to hold this event in bustling Orchard Road to spread the Gospel message of Christ’s Birth and salvation for mankind through songs and dances. Pray for God to provide the manpower and funds.
   
2. GOSPEL TRACTS DISTRIBUTED IN EAST ASIA: Combined cps of "From Heaven With Love" and "The Story of Christmas" will be greatly effective in Christmas. East Asia even has needs for 10 million cps to be printed. Pray for God to unite and motivate the churches in tract evangelism.
   
3. SUCCESSFUL CHINESE KESWICK AND GOSPEL RALLY: We thank God for the success of the rallies and the wonderful messages that edified the congregation. Please pray for the post-event review, DVD production, and follow up to prepare for next year’s rallies.
   

THURS: FOR MISSIONS GOSPEL & TRACT MINISTRY IN ASIA

1. PRAY FOR SEHC’S INTERCESSORS AND DONORS: SEHC needs more co-workers with different gifts as we serve in various fields of ministry. Pray for God to send co-workers to accomplish the Lord’s commission.
   
2. 50,000 CPS REPRINT OF "MY PRECIOUS BOOK": The text and illustrations in this new edition have been amended, but it continues to tell of key stories in the Bible bilingually in English and Chinese. Pray for more young ones to be saved through this book.
   
3. PRAY FOR ENGLISH AND CHINESE MISSIONS: Over 200 million people from 2,000 language groups still do not have a Bible in their mother tongue. Pray for churches to support the spread of literary ministries as God works through words.
   

FRI: FOR SEMINARY EDUCATION AND AGENCY MINISTRY

1. 100,000 CPS REPRINT OF "EMPEROR OF THE UNIVERSE": Time and again, the reprints of this booklet brings tens of thousands to Christ. Many have expressed that it changed their outlook in life. Pray for the Lord to be glorified through the booklet.
   
2. "LEGEND OF THE BIBLE" AWAITS PUBLICATION: Rev Elisha Wu still loves the impoverished East Asian churches despite his advanced age of 90. He used a unique and attractive novel style to write this book. Pray for successful publication.
   
3. "BIBLE STUDY OUTLINE" AND "CUP OF BLESSINGS": Preachers need reference books to supplement their sermons aside from a firm foundation in the Bible. Pray for God to bless the proofreading, fundraising and publication of these two books.
   

SAT: FOR THE PULPIT REVIVAL MESSAGE OF ASIAN CHURCHES

1. BANGLADESHI, PAKISTANI AND NEPALESE TRACTS: The Lord blessed Pakistan with 658,000 Urdu and Hindi tracts during its National Day. Nepalese and Bangladeshi tracts have been printed in large quantities but the unseeded field is still vast. Pray for the Lord to provide funding and manpower.
   
2. BIBLE STUDIES ON GALATIANS AND MATTHEW: Author David Chen used a summary study technique to lead the reader systematically through the Bible. Pray for God to bless the publishing of these books.
   
3. REV ENOCH LAM’S RALLY NEXT MARCH: Rev Lam will preach in West Malaysia on 3 November and will hold a Keswick Rally here on the day before. Pray for this rally to strengthen his rapport with the local churches to prepare for March’s event.
