Are you interested to know what is inside a 9V battery?
We all know that a normal or alkaline battery supplies a voltage of 1.5V. This means that 6 cells are required to make a 9V battery based on the below calculation.
Voltage = 1.5V X 6
= 9V

The 6 cells are connected in series so that the voltage is added up across the 6 cells. In fact, the interior of a 9V battery shows that it is made up of 6 cells.
