I used to think that it was a waste of money installing a large mirror in each of the lifts in my block of flats. Furthermore, students vandalized the mirrors by scratching and cracking it. Sometimes I notice students checking, admiring themselves in the mirror. After today, I think the mirrors in the lifts are a very good idea. I was going down to stretch my legs and do some window-shopping. I had my bobby cap on. Looking in the mirror to see if it was straight, I noticed a black object on it. I didn't feel it because my cap was too thick. I grabbed the black, soft, wolly object and found myself staring at one side of my pair of socks! I hanged it on a string across my bedroom to dry, and it got caught on my cap. Wow, imagine, if the mirror hadn't been there, I'd have been walking around the shopping centre with the sock on my head. It would be worse than the incident where I wore my skirt inside-out.
