As Head of the Distribution Department, I am responsible for the smooth operation of the Company’s Despatch, Bulk Mailing and Distribution functions.  This entails close co-ordination with the port, postal and customs authorities, freight forwarders, shipping and airline companies. I also manage a department staff strength of 15 people.

My responsibility covered pre-shipment checks of cargo going out of Singapore. These inspections were conducted in industrial areas primarily Loyang, Jurong, Sungei Kadut, Tuas, Senoko and Changi Airport.  I ensured that various Exporting Company representatives adhered to export regulations and procedures for Indonesia, the Philippines, Pakistan, Cambodia and Nigeria.

Overseas Attachment                                        -           Posting to Brunei.  During my stint there, I was involved in all overseas logistic programs as well as co-ordination with the various training programs that were held at the base.  Other responsibilities involved the training and localisation of new store personnel attached under my command.
