Welcome
to my Website. I own a Technics SX-EA3 organ although I aspire to
own a SX-GA2 one fine day. This Website is about the model I am
most familiar with but I am sure, owners of other model or make
may find a thing or two that may be of interest. Please note that
this Website is not affiliated with Technics or any links shown.
This is a personal effort from a Technics organ music lover.
I would like to thank my wife Sok Leng, the designer of this
Website for helping me all the way. Now have fun and enjoy!

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to everyone. I have updated
the Mail Bag page and I have added some of the more recent e-mails
I received. Thank you all again for writing in and offering
your kind words about this website. One kind request, please
don't ask me about the value of an organ you are planning to
buy or sell. I am not able to help you here. A million thanks
also to George Hardaker who has created the rhythm and sound
data from his GA1. It will be made available to all EA3/5 users
who wish to expand the number of sounds and rhythm. Look out
for it in a few days time. Right now I am going off to do my
last minute X'mas shopping.

Numerous Technics organ owners (especially
those who own the lower end models) have asked me if I have
any additional sound data or rhythm data that can be uploaded
to their organ. Unfortunately, after many request to the Technics
office in Japan for the official data file, still no reply.
I understand that Yamaha gives away such data through the music
schools freely thereby expanding the range of sounds and rhythm
pattern of their Yamaha organs. I am therefore asking any kind
GA1/2/3, FA1, F100 owners out there to spare a few hours of
your time to create this data file. I will then place the data
files in this website for all to download and use. Please click
here to download an 8KB text file listing the sounds and
rhythms that are NOT available on the EA3 (you don't need to
save the sounds and rhythm patterns that are already available
on the EA3). There is a short description at the end of the
text on how to go about creating the data. Owners of EA1 model,
some older models and all models without a floppy disk; in case
you are salivating over the prospects of expanding the rhythm
and sounds of your organ, please note that your organ cannot
use such data files.

It has been a while since I last wrote on this page. Both my wife and myself have been very busy since the arrival of baby Johanna 6 months ago. I nevertheless like to thank everyone who has written to me and offered your kind words about this website.

It has been a while since I last update my web pages. I have
added the One Touch Play - Music Style Select downloadable files
under the Alternate Reference Guide page. Keep your e-mails
coming please but if you did not receive a reply from me say
within a week, please resend. Chances are your e-mail did not
find its way into my mailbox. I was having some problems with
my Yahoo based e-mail earlier. For those who have signed my
guest book, a big thank you for all your feedbacks and kind
words. Some of the larger download files have been removed temporarily
as I am running out of space. Will place these large files into
an alternative location shortly. While you are in here, please
participate in my survey below.

I have been tinkering with my organ sequencer to Standard MIDI
file conversion via an external PC for the last 2 weeks. I was
prompted to try this out after receiving e-mails from fellow
enthusiasts. After a few nights with minimum sleep, I think
I have finally figured out how this is done by referencing the
write-up by others on the Internet. I have added a brief MIDI
conversion write-up with links to the reference material in
my Technical Tips page

I have just created a new page called Mail Bag. It is a compilation
of questions posed by both the readers and myself. Please feel
free to write to me if you think you can offer an alternative
answer to the question posed. Look out also for the occasional
mini surveys.
