Archery

Archery is another sports I picked recently. It is a sport of focus and concentration, but physical fitness plays a major part also. It is also an expensive hobby with the price ranging from $300 to $500 for wooden bow and $1000 to $3000+ for a metal bow. However, it is a one time investment with very low priced maintenance subsequently. It is also a very very very time consuming game. This is the main reason why I stopped this hobby for the time being while I busy with my wedding and thesis.

Badminton

I have been playing badminton since 11 years old (Primary 5). At that time, I was very weak and could not cope with the endurance required. However, that is when I pickup the tricks and skills of badminton. Into secondary school, I continued to play badminton to polish up my skills and build up my strength. I played lesser when I was in poly and stopped totally during army. During NS, I build up my strength and endurance tremendously and I become quite good in badminton. I peaked myself in the years in NTU where I met a group of good badminton players. That is when I bought my FIRST AND ONLY personal racket (used to play with other people's racket) in 1999. With me busy research work and friends busy with work, I played badminton lesser but grabbing every opportunity to play.
