Jalan Teck Whye Primary School (1986- 1991)

Sad to say, my memory of my primary school life is very vague and I could not really remember the time there.  I cannot even recall who was the principal then and how the school song goes like.  Worse till, I don't have any photo for memories!

The school is currently occupying the old Bukit Panjang Government High premises, off Choa Chu Kang Road.  I could still remember the days where before and after school, I would hang around the playground to play games like hide-and-seek, ice-cream sticks, rubbers, marbles and all sort of other things.

I was heavily involved in school activities.  I was a librarian, an AVA member and also a  table-tennis player at the same time.  I remembered my participation in the International Primary School Mathematical Olympiad and received a Certificate of Distinction for that.

6 years passed quickly and by the time, the Primary School Leaving Examinations (PSLE) came and past like that.  I received a disappointing score of 234 and went on to Swiss Cottage Secondary School.

When I was in Secondary 2, I came to know that my favourite teacher and also my primary six form teacher, Miss Wong Yoon Yoon, passed away in her 30s......

I spent the next four years in Swiss Cottage Secondary School which is currently located at Bukit Batok.  Life then is enjoyable and wonderful memories still live inside me.  The four years there mould my character and determined my life, at least that is what I think.

I met the group of good friends who till now are still in frequent contact.  The route of advancement then was 1B, 2B, 3E1, 4E1.  Similarly, I was also involved in several activities.  I was part of the Perfectorial Board and also a player of the school table-tennis team for 4 years.

Jurong Junior College (1996 - 1997)

After getting a sad aggregate of 14, I got into Jurong Junior College (JJC) for my studies.  Why go into JJ most people will ask and I hate it when people despise the school like that.  But I have proven them wrong now by performing better both in academic and ECA than some of those in the top few JCs.

Two years of JC life was very short.  In the wonderful class of 96S2, I totally enjoyed my stay in JJ.

Army(1997-2000)

Just 12 days after my last paper I would always remember, I was enlisted for full-time National Service.  On the day of my last paper (Chemistry) when I got home to prepare to go out to celebrate the end of the A level examinations, I saw the enlistment letter, asking me to report on Dec 10, 1997 to Central Manpower Base for my service......

12 days, there was hardly time for me to prepare myself mentally and physically for National Service.  Am I supposed to be in holiday mood after the stressful exam period I would ask myself.  Very sad then.  When people are enjoying themselves whole-heartedly, I am already 'botak' in that place called Nee Soon Camp.

National University of Singapore (2000 -            )

I am expecting to start school soon, after Jul and shall tell you my life in NUS then.
