Just how much time do we have NOW, before the Year 2000?? Take a look at the Countdown Clock on the left and you'll be amazed by how time flies................... Well, time is precious, that's why everyone is rushing to eliminate the millennium bug aliasY2K bug. Can you imagine how life would be if the Y2K bug wrecks havoc on the world's computer systems on that fateful day, 01 January 2000??? All of us wouldn't be able to use our computers which we rely so much on. We will not be able to withdraw money from ATMs as banks would be crippled by the bug. In the worst case scenario, planes would suddenly plunge from the sky, ships will lose contact with one another and cars will collide into each other when traffic lights go haywire. |
Shouldn't we be prepared for all these? Fortunately, some people realised these dire consequences early and have already taken measures to eradicate this malicious bug. Nevertheless, there's no harm in being more prepared. As the saying goes, "prevention is better than cure". Check out the Y2KNET or The Year 2000 Information Centre for some tips to survive through the millennium.
