Learning is not attained by chance;
it must be sought for with ardor and attended to with diligence.
~Abigail Adams~
(in letter to John Quincy Adams, 1780)
Imagination is more important than knowledge. Knowledge is limited.
Imagination encircles the world.
~ Albert Einstein ~

The biggest mistake people make in life is not trying to make a
living at doing what they most enjoy.

"Be positive. It's better to light a candle
in the dark then to curse the darkness."

True friends, hard to come by. When found, treasure it at all cost.
Why not try to find a true friend in every friend you meet.
If everyone starts doing so, then everyone will find a true friend in
everyone.
The happiest person is the person who thinks the most interesting thoughts.
Many people will walk in and out of your life,
but only true friends will leave footprints in your heart.
To handle yourself, use your head;
To handle others, use your heart.
Anger is only one letter short of danger.
If someone betrays you once, it's his fault;
if he betrays you twice, it's your fault.
Great minds discuss ideas;
Average minds discuss events;
Small minds discuss people.
He who loses money, loses much;
He who loses a friend, loses more;
He who loses faith, loses all.
It's in times of crisis that you know who your friends are.
I pray for more crises in my life so that I know who are left.
Beautiful young people are acts of nature,
But beautiful old people are works of art.
Learn from the mistakes of others.
You can't live long enough to make them all yourself.
There are two days in every week
that we should not worry about,
two days that should be kept free,
from fear and apprehension.
One is Yesterday
with its mistakes and cares,
its faults and blunders,
its aches and pains.
Yesterday has passed forever
beyond our control.
All the money in the world
cannot bring back yesterday.
We cannot undo a certain act
or take back a word we've said-
Yesterday is gone.
The other day we shouldn't
worry about is Tomorrow-
with its impossible adversaries,
its burdens, its hopeful promise,
and poor performance.
Tomorrow's sun
will either rise in splendor
or behind a mask of clouds,
but it will rise
and until it does,
we have no stake in tomorrow,
for it is yet unknown.
This leaves only one day-Today
Any person can fight the battle
for just one day.
It is only when we add
the burdens of yesterday
and tomorrow that we break down.
The sadness comes not from
the experience of today
but the remorse of bitterness
for something which happened
yesterday and the dread of what
tomorrow may bring.
