Dear Members

We are pleased to inform you of the conclusion of the Collective Agreement.

In view of the NWC '99 guidelines that called for wage restraint, our union and management had deliberated at length the collective agreement at our branch level and at the Ministry of Manpower.

With the mixed economic outlook, we have agreed on the following settlement: -

1997 - 5.5% (already paid in Oct '97 to Sep '98)

1998 - 2% + $20

1999 - 2% + $20

Plus one-time lump sum payment of 15 % base salary @ 30 Sep 99 (on top and above any variable bonus to be declared)

Adjustments to base salary, annual wage supplement and variable payment will be back paid from 1 Oct 98

The management of the respective hospital / institution is currently in the process of working out the details. Members can be assured that all payments due would be made in the coming months.

Revised as per attached Appendix to this circular.

Besides the Annual Increment and the Salary Range, all other Clauses in die current Collective Agreement will be renewed with no changes.

This new Collective Agreement will serve fill 30 Sep 2000.
