And the Americans think that pounding Afghanistan with bombs dropped from airplanes high up in the sky out of reach of anti-aircraft guns is going to help win them support, particularly from Arab countries and Muslims. As the frequent phrase in Hindi movies go .... "Maa ka dudh piya hai ... tho samne aa ja". The Americans do not come out as courageous people fighting a righteous war when they drop bombs for a month running.. Agreed, there may well be military reasons for doing so (whether the military reasons are sound or not is another question) ... but the Americans will soon lose popular and diplomatic support outside of their own country. I don't think that people take Tony Blair seriously --- what is more important is the image the Americans are conveying than the right messages and words that Mr Blair is saying.
