What is one to make of Mr Advani's utterances in Pakistan ? A very complete turnaround ? Much much more significant than the change in Vajpayee just two days after his “aar ya par” speech. Coming after the Hindi-Paki bhai-bhai attitude in the Government and media in recent times, it makes one wonder. How very strategic is the Iranian gas pipeline to us ? India wants to catch up with China. China has been forging strategic and economic alliances all over the globe and we now have also shed our inhibitions. India's leadership [the Ruling and the Opposition] has suddenly become cold capitalists. One really wonders ...... This year has been a year of very significant change in India. With the monsoon's possibility of being weak this year a strong reminder of our reliance on the weather, I guess our leaders now want to build up economic strengths in energy and foreign investments over the long run. One really wonders .... Can decades of politics be thrown away in a few months of economic lessons ?
