India, Back-Office to the World
Here's an interesting article in The Economist. Medical Transcription and Call-Centres aren't the only areas which can be outsourced to India. They are called "IT-Enabled Services". Going by a wildly-optimistic prediction, resident Indians could earn as much as $1 Trillion per annum -- twice India's GDP !
Students who had received appointment letters after Campus interviews now find that some companies are either advising them to join up as many as five months later or even actually cancelling the appointments.
