An extreme programming method is gaining popularity in UK.  The approach calls for pairing developers together, performing automated unit testing and editing code frequently to keep it simple.

"The security problems could allow a hacker to bypass people's passwords and alter the devices, rendering the modems temporarily or permanently unusable, researchers said.
