Wake Up Call for Cell-Phone Makers
With all the complexities in Cell-Phone (Mobile-Phones), the manufacturers must now consider putting in a REBOOT button (three buttons labelled CTRL-ALT-DEL wouldn't go down well with users !). Software complexities abound from the various services -- email, messaging, 3G applications -- being catered for in cell-phones. The carriers having made investments in 3G must be able to get higher volumes and "better" features in Cell-Phones out in the markets. But do users understand how their Cell-Phones work ? Would they be looking for the REBOOT button occassionally when they encounter problems ? What about Viruses ?
