Have you ever wonder what life is all about?

Why am I here? What is the purpose of life. Is life about getting enough money? Is life about getting a life partner and have children? I life about upgrading you house, car ..... and the list goes on.

The basic truth about man
The bible says that "all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God". And when the bible says all, it literally means all. Romans 3:23. Some of you might be thinking at the back of you mind, so what. Isn't life a cycle. First you were born, then you grow up do like what others do. grow old and die. and you off springs will continue on and on and on....

How I too wish it's that simple. Ever wonder, by nature why people are afraid of death? You can pick at random someone from any part of the world. They will naturally tell you they are afraid of death. If life is just a cycle. Why do you think this is so? and also just look around the world. When some one does some thing wrong, there is a natural sense of guilt. Why is that so? I am convinced that there is a God that every one is yearning for.

There is a consequence to sin
Death is not the end of the story as we wish. We are accountable for what we do on the "Judgment day". The bible says Just as man is destined to die one and after that to face judgment. Hebrews 9:27  and no one will be exempted from this. Whether you are the president of the states or you are low lying scum of society. You will be judged that same by the One and only God.

I know some may argue I did not do as bad as some did. Yeah. That is true and based on your personal standard. Imagine a person caught for littering (based on Singapore's law) and he is sentence to perform corrective work. Being upset about it, he pleaded, "I just dropped a sweet wrapper. There are many more whom have littered even more and more frequently. I shouldn't be punished just for this little sweet wrapper." The fact is the law say no littering. Where you throw a little sweet wrapper or a bagful of garbage. You are still littering. Since by human law all justice needs to be fulfilled how much more do you think the standard of the Most Holy God? See the 10 commandments Exodus 20:3-17 This is the written law. Are you able to fulfill every one of them. By breaking even one. The law is broken.

What am I going to do?
Frankly, there is nothing you and I can do and just wait for the verdict. There are some who tries to achieve recognition by performing very well academically. Will that do? Some would do volunteering work to help the poor and needy. Some climb the success ladder and gain recognition by the world. Do you agree that that would give them the entry into heaven? See what the bible has to say in Galatians 2:15-17

The Good News
Well. Long before you can think about the issues of man. God has already bridged the gap. It's only you decision to believe and have faith. 2000 years back God came into the world as the person Jesus Christ. Born a lowly birth in a manger. Grew up as man to spread the good news that there is hope for man and did His calling to take upon himself the sins of you and I, took it to the cross and the punishment is done. Jesus has bore our sins and has made us clean. What you need to do now is just to believe and put your faith in Jesus and the work He has done for you and I.

What do you mean by believe and put your faith in Jesus. There are two type of believe. One may believe that the person was there and has no significant impact on your life. Or you may believe that he was here and what he has done really is to change to destiny. Let me illustrate. I place a chair right before you and I tell you that this is chair for you. You can simply agree with me that this is a chair for you and stop there or you can also agree that this is a chair for you and take the action sitting on the chair.

How do I take this step of faith?
Until you take the decision of faith to believe in Jesus. It sums to nothing. The Bible say "Every one who calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved." Romans 10:13. To call on the name of the Lord is just a simple prayer as follow

Dear Lord,
I know that I am a sinner and needs your forgiveness.
I believe that you have sent your son Jesus to die on the cross on my behalf so that I can be clean before you.
I now invite You to come into my heart and accept you as the Lord of my life.
In Jesus Name I pray,

The bible consist of 66 books and is broken into 2 sections, 39 in Old Testaments (OT) and 27 in New Testaments (NT). The OT account for the times before Jesus. And the NT records the events during and after Jesus life. The first 4 books in the NT are known as the Gospels. They are Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. These book are accounts of the 4 person whom are the witness to the life of Jesus and his ministries.
