A boy was looking around in a dark space trying to locate the source of the voice calling out to his name.

“Kyle, Kyle, Kyle…” the voice was calling as it grew louder and louder.

“Mia?” the boy shouted into the black space. “Is that you Mia?”

“Kyle… save me” the voice sounded again but this time grewing softer and softer.

“MIA!!!” the boy shouted when he suddenly sit up, sweat dripping down his face. He cover his face with his hand while attempting to recall the dream.

“Mia?” the boy asked as he looked up and scan the sun lit room.

Everything was still in the cold morning air while sunlight came shining brightly through the open window bringing light into the dark room.

After one final scan of the room, the boy lie down on his bed again. “Is that just a dream?” the boy asked himself as he close his eyes again. “Mia… what do you want with me? What do you want  me to do?”

A knock on the door broke his train of thoughts and a elderly man in his 30s enter the room wearing a apron and holding a cloth in his left hand.

“Master Kyle” the man bowed politely. “Its almost time for school I hope you would get up from bed and get ready for school.” The man smile “You don’t want to be late for the new school year do you? before leaving the room.

Kyle open his eyes and got up from bed. His pet farmiliar dragon Dracky yawn and let out a puff of flame. “Hey hey dracky” Kyle said as he quickly pick the little lizard up “You don’t want to set the bed sheet on fire again do you? Austin will be mad” he laugh setting Dracky down on the floor and patting it on the head before entering the bathroom. He stood infront of the mirror while thoughts of Mia ran through his head. “Are you still alive Mia?” Kyle wondered as he step into the shower.

Dining Room

“Good morning Master Kyle” the man greeted again as Kyle and Dracky enter the dining room.

“Morning Austin” Kyle said as he took his seat at the dining table whereas Dracky landed on the table awaiting eagerly for his meals.

“Breakfast is serve” Austin said as he serve plate after plate of food onto the table. “Today is the new school term Master Kyle” Austin said “Try not to be late as you use to be”

“Yar, yar…” Kyle mumble not listening to Austin. “Well I guess I better be off” Kyle said as he brought his plate into the kitchen. “Cya later Austin” and he ran out of the house.

Austin shake his head and watch as Kyle ran out of the house and disappeared out of sight. “That kid…” Austin smiled as he continued his breakfast. While Draky was still attacking his breakfast.

“Dam” Kyle curse under his breath as he ran towards school “I am almost late.” He thought to himself as he check his watch for the time. “The discipline master is gonna skrew me up for sure” he thought again and continue running to school.

Meanwhile, a girl was trailing behind him. “Is he the one?” The girl wonder. “It can’t be but he look so much like him” the girl thought to herself as she pick up her necklance and look at. The necklance has a pearl in the centre and a dragon was engrave on the pearl.

In school.

The discipline master Mr Andrew was prancing around Kyle. “What day is today Kyle?” he asked.

“Monday?” Kyle asked while staring straight ahead, determine not to budge.

“This is the first day of school and you dare to be late” Mr Andrew said looking at Kyle.

“No Sir” Kyle replied.

“Then do you know that you are late?” Mr Andrew asked

“Yes Sir” Kyle replied

“Good.” Mr Andrew said seeming satisfy with the answer “Since you know you are late, I will…” suddenly he stopped in his track.

“Mr Andrew?” Kyle asked a look of concern on his face.

“What are you doing here?” Mr Andrew shouted “Get back to class before I catch you as late” He said

Kyle nodded and ran off back to class smilling to himself while tieing up a bandana on his rght shoulder and then covering it with the sleves of his shirt. “That’s easy” Kyle thought to himself.

Back in class during recess

“Wow Kyle you got off again” his classmates says

“How did you do it?” one of his classmate wonder aloud.

“That would be telling won’t I?” Kyle said managing a smile at the same time as the girl around him go “Awww…”

His friends were all discussing about how Kyle manage to get off when he suddenly turn towards a girl at the back. “Can you stop staring at me?” Kyle asked abit irritated

The girl took one last look at Kyle and left the classroom.

“Whats wrong with her?” Kyle wondered to himself “And why does she look so much like Mia?” he thought unable clear the disturbance of the similiarity between the new girl and Mia.

“That’s Jade” one of Kyle’s classmate explained when he saw Kyle troubled look.

“Jade?” Kyle asked.

“Yar” Another classmate said “You ought to come early to school if you do not want to miss the introduction of the new student.” And the group bust out laughing.

“But Jade is really cool isn’t she?” a girl said to another “That’s the first time anyone walk out on Kyle”.

Meanwhile out in the school corridor.

“It can’t be him” Jade thought to herself as she clasped the pearl neckance tightly in her hand. “Where are you?” Jade asked as she looked up into the open sky.
