Drake was facing the same problem as Alicia has he hid behind his shield blocking out all forms of holy spell the intruder can hurl at him. The intruder like himself was a paladin but a much more stronger paladin then he himself was. Desperate for the reason to stay alive he refuse to perform any forms of attack much to the disappointment of the other paladin.

“Come at me with everything you got” the intruder shouted hurling shield boomerang after boomerang at Drake.

After deciding that Drake was not going to make any offensive move, the intruder decided to bring the battle towards him. He hold out his shield infront of him and charge towards Drake creating a such a force that when both shield collided, both paladin was knock backward. Drake decided that it was no longer safe to hide and started his assault.

He threw his shield like a boomerang towards the intruder but the intruder held out his shield to block it, knocking it harmlessly to the ground. Drake, determine to get back his shield drew out his sword and charge towards the other paladin who at the same time held out his shield like a sword to lock combat with Drake. Lock in a sword-to-sword combat, Drake fail to notice the incantation the intruder was chanting and only realized it when he saw the intruder’s lips moving but he was too late.

“Grand Cross” the intruder shouted causing light to grow around the ground in the shape of a cross, piercing Drake’s armor and hurting him, causing great agony to him.

Drake drop down on to the floor, panting heavily trying to recover from the previous attack. He tried to perform a healing skill but was block out by the intruder continuous attack. The intruder begin chanting another spell but this time the shield glow brightly.

“Shadow Shield” he shouted summoning several shadow of his shield to crash into Drake continuously dealing further damage to Drake.

While the shadows were crashing into Drake, the intruder took the chance to narrow the gap between them and pointed the sharpen tip of his shield at the throat of Drakes’. Drake concealing defeat did not make any further attempt to cast another healing spell merely lay on the ground waiting to be killed, but he was shocked when the intruder put his shield away.

“Why didn’t you killed me?” Drake asked as he begin performing healing spells on himself.

The intruder barely surge and started performing healing spells on Drake too.

“What do you want?” Drake asked eyeing the intruder suspiciously.

“I m Aqua” the intruder explain, “one of the 12 guardian of the Sun god Volcanon. And I am here to find you as my successor but you really disappoint me.” Aqua sigh.

“What do you mean I disappoint you” Drake asked curios about the stranger before him

“Never mind” Aqua reply “We got more important task at hand” he continued. “I need you to go to the peak of Mount Yuno whereby you will know what to do from there. Someone will be meeting up with you soon so don’t disappoint me again” with that, Aqua vanish.

Drake turn around and found himself back in his house and once again he ask the same question Alicia had ask herself, “Am I dreaming” he wondered to himself. To test whether he was dreamin, he pinched himself and felt painful hence decided that he wasn’t dreaming at all. That was when there was a knock on the door.

“Coming” he call out, have a last look at himself in the mirror and went to the door.

When he open the door, 2 super novice stands before him. “Yes” he asked trying to be polite while at the same time enduring the pain of the pinch he did on himself earlier on.

“Are you Drake?” the female super novice asked

“Yeah, why? Can I help you with anything?” he asked.

“I suggest we talk inside” the male super novice asked looking around wearily.

“Erm sure” Drake answered as he open his door to allowed both super novice in.

“Who are you” Drake asked when they have settle down.

“My name is Crystal” The female super novice say “and this is Abyss” she beckoned towards her partner. “We are send by Volcanon to guide the 13 successor including you to the peak of mount yuno.” She explain

“You” Drake asked still not trying not to laugh “But you are just a super novice what can you do” he continued trying not to be rude.

Crystal was about to explain her ability when they heard a scream coming from the street outside. They dash out of the house and saw a flock of harpies approaching the city. People were running everywhere while the Izulde soldiers guide them to safety.

“Oh dear” Crystal say solemnly “looks like they have found out what God Volcanon is planning.”

Abyss drew out his sword ready to strike the harpies “Shall we” he asked inviting Drake to join in. Drake nodded and drew out his sword just then he heard another scream.

“Alicia” he shouted and ran in the direction of her house, both super novice chasing behind him.
