I have been away from home for some times. Presently(April 2000) I'm in the US for my company program which is going to end pretty soon.
Luckily, I had chance to go home during Christmas and spent time with my wife for the last new millenium night.
Now my only access to computer is my company laptop which I can not play around. You know, at office everything is MS.
I have no way to install Linux on my notebook. And I don't have any other computer to use. So I have to stop learning Linux temporarily during my stay in US.
Well, my stay in US is ending soon and I am looking forward to it. It's spring here but still snowing and I am really pissed off this place.
And the program I am going through is damned not interesting for me. But before I go back I will go and see southern part, California. I hope there is much more interesting
things happening than here in New York. Best of all, my wife will be joining me for that trip. |

Well, my misserable times are over and now it's the time to relax and enjoy. My wife is with me and we have been driving around this
New York state, up to the Fall and the NY city. And have said goodbye to the North and now we are heading to the southwest, California. We will be there for about 10 days.

Happy times are over and it's a time of struggling for living. Anyway I am pleased to be back at home and staying long here
rather than travelling up and down. I had a chance to fix up my PC's problem and it's working fine now. I used to like Taiwan made ASUS motherboard but it really sucks.
I had a lot of problems just because of this board. I asked a lot of questions by email but no one from ASUS bother to reply.
Initially I didn't suspect the motherboard at all because I trust its a reliable one. I know it too late (just after one year warranty is over).
No choice I got to buy new board and chenge it out.
Although I am quite busy with my job, I try to find a time to do what I want at weekends. |

Far away from home again. I have been in this boring Japan for about 3 weeks now. Away from my wife, away from my home and away from my computer.
But no choice, this is the life I guess. I have to go for my survival. I should be back home by November. I hope that doesn't change. All I am doing here is working on weekdays and
going around on weekends. |

I am really home sick now. Still stuck in Japan and can't go home until 9th. I can only see rain and Taiphoon and earthquake here.
I miss my wife, my home and my PC. I have no chance to read newspaper since I reached here. Internet is not that fast. Luckily CNN english channel available at the hotel I stay.
Job is too relaxed, nothing to do at free time, everything is extremely expensive and I get bored of getting around on weekends. Now I'm just counting the days to get out of this
country and getting back home. |

This is one of the unpleasant times in my life. Being away from what i want, being with unfriendly people, facing unfavorable situation, having a risk of
losing out, and so on. But all are out of my control now. Just trying to be positive on everything. That's all I can do now.

Time flies. I have been on and off at home and at work (far away from home) for quite some time. Presently at home for about 10 days which is very
rare opportunity for me. I have been lost in touch with my hobby and all the things I used to like and do. I don't know how long I can carry on with this. ???

Far away from home at Yokohama in Japan, not a bad trip. Golden holiday week for Japanese but not for me. Work and work and not much time for
getting bored. The best is my wife came to visit me although I didn't have enough time for her. We could only manage to go around 2 days, for which I got off from the work.

Most of the time I spent my time at home these days. Seldom out to the job and I have plenty of time to play with linux on my PC. Since I changed my stupid internal "winmodem", I am quite happy with my system. My linux is running like chunk and I have no need to touch this windoze! anymore.
