The History:

It Meng Orchid Nursery was single-handedly founded by Mr. Seah Hwai Chai in the 1970's. It first started from orchid business by supplying orchids for export. Due to competitions, economic downturn and diminishing return we had diversified our risk.

Diversing into the landscaping line prove to be a major turning point for It Meng Orchid Nursery  . It changed to a bigger customer base business which allows wide integration path. The family based business is underpinned by enhancing relationship and truthfulness. This quickly build our customer based. Ironically retaining them after relocating survival time.

We used to be at old Chua Chu Kang Road. Being affected by URA resettlement  plans, we relocate to 6, Bt Panjang Road at the junction of Bt Timah Road and Bt Panjang Road. Things doesn't work well, after 10 years the land is again acquired back by the relevant authority. Finally we settled at Plot ST 61, Jalan Lekar(Sungei Tengah). It is just 5 min  drive away from Chua Chu Kang estate or 3mins drive from Tengah Military Air base. Bus service 172 and 175 is accessible if you are taking by public transport. Click to read map.

We would like to compliment Ms Seah Siew Khim who has contributed and synergised the growth of the company. After completing her Diploma in Horticulture, awarded by the Singapore Botanic Garden, she committed herself to the business and put all her knowledge into practice.
