Introduction
The name means 5th peace kata. Old name is Pinan Godan.
Steps
- Kama-tte (Face North).
- Look to your left, slide left foot to your left into right Nekoashi
dachi while executing a yoko-uke with your left hand.
- Immediatly after the block follow up with a right hand gyaku-tsuki
while remaining in Nekoashi dachi.
- Look east over your right shoulder and slowly draw your right foot to your
left foot while moving your left hand in front and parallel to your body, it is
about an inch in front of it. Right fist at the
hip.
- Slide your right foot east into Nekoashi dachi while executing a right hand yoko uke.
- Follow up with a left hand gyaku-tsuki while remaining in Nekoashi dachi.
- Look north. Slowly draw your left foot to your right foot while moving
your right hand infront and parallel to the body. Left fist at the left side.
- Step north with your right leg into zenkutsu dachi while executing an augmented
chudan morote-uke. Right hand performing a yoko uke supported by left hand at the right elbow.
- Step forward into left zenkutsu dachi while executing a kosa uke (right hand over left hand).
- Withdraw your hands and force them upwards into a jodan cross open handed block.
- Pull your hands to your right hip while rotating your hands palm to palm
so your right hand ends with palm facing up near your hip and your left hand
on top of it, palm facing down, palm to palm.
- Attack with left yoko barai and slide the right leg into hachiji dachi.
- Step forward with your right leg into moto
dachi and execute a right hand gyaku tsuki.
- Draw your right leg towards your left leg while raising your knee and
step towards the south into shiko-dachi while executing a gedan
barai with your right hand. The rotation is counter clockwise (CCW)
on your left leg. Your hips and chest face east in shiko-dachi while you look south.
- Look north and turn left. Attack with a left hand yoko barai and pull back the left leg into
a left moto dachi. Right hand a closed fist at your right hip.
- Step forward into left zenkutsu dachi and attack with your right elbow into your open left hand.
- Shift your weight completely to your right foot slide
your left foot so it rests lightly behind the right foot in the kosa dachi.
Execute a right yoko uke with the left fist under the right elbow.
- Look to the south. Straighten your right leg and drive your right fist
upwards while keeping your left hand in contact with it.
- Right leg step south and move the left leg behind the right in kosa dachi position
and at the same time moving both fists
to a position near your hips. Execute a low level two handed cross block (kosa uke). KIAI.
- Step south with your right foot into zenkutsu dachi while executing a augmented
right yoko uke with left fist at right elbow.
- Look north without changing your stances. Your left
hand moves down into a gedan barai position and your right hand is pulled back so your fist is
behind your head at the ear level. (Closed fists)
- Withdraw your left left to near your right leg, looking north with chest and hips facing east.
Slide your right leg forward into a reverse left zenkutsu
dachi in the Northeast direction. Executing a right gedan
barai and left hand up and behind your ear.
- Nao-tte. Withdraw your right leg into Hachiji dachi.
